Obituary: Doris Clark

A funeral service for Doris Mae Clark, 96, of Davenport, was held at noon on Saturday, April 13, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Clark died Monday, April 8, 2019, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.

Doris Williams was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Davenport, the daughter of Frank and Muriel (Chandler) Williams.

She married Richard Clark on Sept. 26, 1941. He preceded her in death.

She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years.

Her hobbies were spending time with her family, playing cards, bowling, sewing, crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, word searches, going to the casino, cooking, and dancing with her husband.

Survivors include her children, Steven (Carla) Clark, Jan Longnecker, Mark (Denice) Clark, Pamela (Ken) Carter, and Brian (Carol) Clark; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Clark; and her siblings, Dwight (Betty) Williams, Wayne (Alice) Williams, and Robert (Marge) Williams.
