A funeral service for Dolores Dorothy Martens, 91, of Durant, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Miss Martens died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Heritage at Fox Run, Council Bluffs.
Dolores Martens was born June 13, 1927, in rural Durant, the daughter of Gilbert and Verna (Johannsen) Martens. She graduated from Durant High School in 1945.
She retired from Schneckloth Lumber Company in Durant, where she worked as a bookkeeper for 55 years.
She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include a sister, Lois Wirth, Council Bluffs; her nephews, David (Jill) Wirth, Kent (Deb) Wirth, and Joe Wirth (Colleen Ryan); and great nieces and nephews.
