A funeral service celebrating the life of David M. Gold, 81, of Davenport, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Gold died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at ManorCare, Utica Ridge, Davenport.
David Gold was born Jan. 7, 1938, in Davenport, the son of Clarence and Pauline (Bell) Gold.
He married Kathleen Kelly on June 6, 1959, in Davenport.
He worked for the Davenport Fire Department and retired from Alcoa as a machine operator.
He was a member of the Izaak Walton League.
His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Deanna Gold and Michael (Tina) Gold, all of Davenport, and Scott Gold, Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Paula Blocker, Bettendorf.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Gold.
