Obituary: Betty Noll

A service celebrating the life of Betty Jane Noll, 92, of Eldridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Christ United Methodist Church, Davenport. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Noll died Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Grand Haven Retirement Community, Eldridge.

Betty Levetzow was born Sept. 10, 1926, in a farm house on the Model Dairy Farm in Davenport, the daughter of Arthur and Malinda Levetzow. She graduated from Davenport High School.

She married Elmer Noll in 1946. He died in 1988.

In earlier years, she worked at the Model Dairy Ice Cream Store and for the Gas Rationing Board. She and her husband owned and operated Noll Trucking in Grand Mound for 22 years. She retired from American Mutual Insurance.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Her hobbies were volunteering and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Steven (Pamela) Noll, Vancouver, Wash., and David (Diane) Noll, LeClaire; her grandchildren, Michael Noll, A.J. Noll, Patrick Noll, Kelly (Ryan) Salvador, and Heather Noll; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Elsie Quick, Darlene (Carl) Rahlf, Carol Hess, and Ruth Behan; her sisters-in-law, Viola Levetzow, Lois Levetzow, and Betty Levetzow; and a brother-in-law, James Stoefen.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler; a sister, JoAnn Stoefen; her brothers, Robert Levetzow, Earl Levetzow, Harvey Levetzow, Walter (Arline) Levetzow, and Ralph Levetzow; and her brothers-in-law, Walter Quick and Bill Hess.

Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or to Heartland Hospice Care.
