Betty Ganzer
A funeral service for Betty J. Ganzer, 91, of Donahue, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ganzer died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center Westwing Place, DeWitt.
Betty Engler was born June 30, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Lillie (Siebel) Engler. She lived in rural Donahue all her life.
She married Willis Ganzer on March 5, 1949. He died in 1976.
She and her husband farmed the family farm.
Survivors include her children, Marlo (Mike) Laing, Jim (Pat) Ganzer, Dean (Tina) Ganzer, Pam Rathjen (Curt Conrad), Carol (Bob) Simonson, Patricia Ganzer-Holland (Dave Butler), and Tom Ganzer; her grandchildren, Tracy VandenBerg, Tonia Lenig, Adam (Sarah) Ganzer, Kyle (Stephanie) Ganzer, Kela Ganzer (Dan Wheeler), Janelle (Dean) Maier, Randy Wulf (Amanda Broiher), Tara (Jason) Goettsch, Nick (Shannon) Simonson, Cory (Marsha) Simonson, Nate Simonson (Danielle Larivere), and Willis (Amanda) Holland; and 17 great-grandchildren.
