Kathryn Dittmer to be honored at 90th birthday open house Dec. 31

Kathryn Dittmer of Eldridge will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house on Sunday, Dec. 31. All friends and relatives are invited to call from 10 a.m. to noon at Faith Lutheran Church, 500 W. LeClaire Road, Eldridge. No gifts, please.

Kathryn Weiskopf was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Davenport, the first baby born in Scott County that year. She married the late Robert Allen Dittmer on Aug. 6, 1949, in Davenport.

She and her husband farmed on Grandview Farms west of Eldridge.

She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. Her hobbies are swimming, playing cards, and having morning coffee and Friday dinners at various locations with friends.

She is the mother of Robert L. (Doris) Dittmer of Broomfield, Colo., Suzanne (Neil) Mandsager of Bradenton, Fla., and Tom (Joni) Dittmer of Eldridge.

Her grandchildren are Andrew (Sydni) Dittmer, Adam (Kathryn) Dittmer, Jeff (Erica) Mandsager, Brett (Katrina) Mandsager, Addy (Corvin) Kieger, and Ben (Erin) Dittmer. She has seven great-grandchildren.
