Local author and historian John Brassard Jr. will present a program about the sinister side of German-Americans’ success in Scott County from the mid-1800s through the World War I years on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. at the German American Heritage Center, 712 W. 2nd St., Davenport.
