Julie Haugen and Jacob Keppy
Julie Haugen of Dows, Iowa, and Jacob Keppy of Durant are engaged to be married.
Julie is the daughter of Jim and Mary Haugen of Dows. She is a 2009 graduate of Clarion-Goldfield High School, and a 2013 graduate of Iowa State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business. She is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in elementary education through Upper Iowa University, and is a substitute teacher in the Durant and Wilton school districts.
Jacob is the son of Loren and Jeantee Keppy of Durant. He is a 2009 graduate of Durant High School, and a 2013 graduate of Iowa State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He is employed by Zoetis as a pork production specialist, and is also a local seed dealer for Beck’s Hybrids.
The couple will be married Dec. 16.
