Elmshaeusers to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Orville and Vera Elmshaeuser, residents of Grand Haven in Eldridge, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, March 29.

Mr. Elmshaeuser, originally from Ogallala, Neb., and Vera Jane Schulz, from Evansville, Ind., were married on Easter Sunday, March 29, 1959, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Evansville.

Orville was a Lutheran school teacher in Evansville and a principal in Lincoln, Neb., and Cedar Rapids and Wilton, Iowa.

Vera is a former proofreader at The North Scott Press.

They are members of Park View Lutheran Church and were active in many church, school and community organizations over the years.

Their children and spouses are Beth and Scott Campbell, Eldridge; Karl and Kris Elmshaeuser, Waverly, Neb.; Sarah and Kevin Stellick, Waco, Neb.; and Maria and Spencer Hansen, Lincoln, Neb. They have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
