Eldridge water tower built in 1969

Jan. 1, 1969: The Eldridge City Council met to award bids on a new water tank. Council members Bob Pischke, Ray Porter and Norman Harvey gave approval to accept the bid from Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Co. in the amount of $96,200 for a tubular column tank. (This is the water tank that still stands near the North Scott Administration Building.)
