1979: Fine arts auditorium talks start

March 15, 1979: North Scott School Board members began discussing the possibility of a fine arts auditorium at the high school. Committee members Judith Jacobs, Dan Anderson, Keith Haan, Harvey Perrine, Ed Fischer, Steve McNicol, Dr. Arnold Lindaman and Superintendent Melvin Heiler reported on their visits to auditoriums at area high schools and colleges. They recommended an 800-seat theater with an orchestra pit and seating in three sections, and a 50’ by 40’ semi-thrust stage.
