Aug. 20, 2003: North Scott’s Little League baseball team was eliminated from competition at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, losing 7-2 to Texas and 8-7 to Delaware. North Scott team members included Elliott Schlabach, Jimmy DeFrieze, Greg Daniels, Blake Anderson, Ryan Voss.  more

This week, The North Scott Press joins newspapers across the U.S. that are speaking out against the drum roll of "the news media is the enemy of the people" from our nation's leaders. This nationwide campaign was begun by the Boston Globe, which is trying to band together editorial writers across the country to support a campaign of protecting press rights. more

OK, so maybe you aren’t quite a baby anymore. Every time I blink – you get bigger. And every time I pause for a moment, you are using bigger words (like loquacious ... what?!) and learning empathy and doing math and solving problems. So, while I know you aren’t technically a baby anymore, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what the past six years have meant to me. more

As summer is coming to a close, I know our students, parents, and staff are getting excited for another school year to begin. I am sure most of you are like me and wonder where the summer went.  We are blessed to live in a community where education is highly valued and supported by all.  As always, it is a privilege to be able to serve the North Scott Community School District as superintendent of schools. more
