A funeral service for Bryant Ottes Pruett, infant son of Jason and Andrea Pruett of Calamus, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. The family requests that baseball attire be worn to the service. Burial will follow at the Knoxville (Ill.) Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon of celebration at the Knoxville American Legion. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 9, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. more

JoAnn M. Denklau, 74 of Blue Grass, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Trinity Bettendorf.  Memorial services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5 (today), at 10:30 a.m. at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly.  Memorials in JoAnn’s name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. more
Vera Mae Doyle, lifelong resident of Princeton, died on Aug. 30, 2018, at Silvercrest Garner Retirement Community in Davenport.  Vera, daughter of Jesse and Shirley Graham, was born on Feb. 7, 1914.  She attended school in Princeton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1932. Vera married Patrick Raymond Doyle in 1935. They bought a farm west of Princeton where they worked from dawn to dusk and raised their six children. more

A luncheon will follow the service. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. A military service was held immediately following at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, Aug. 30, from 3-6 p.m. at the mortuary. more

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 31, from 5-7 p.m. at the mortuary, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. more
Dr. Karol Annette Donaubauer, 67, of Davenport passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.  Per Karol’s wishes, she was cremated.  Family will greet friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday Sept. 8, in the Pine Hill Cemetery Chapel.  A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any favorite charity.  Karol’s favorite charities were the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, Ill., the Greyhound Adoption Agency and the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. more
